Thursday when Jason got home from work he was talking to Lisa and they decided it would be a good idea for us to come to Denver for the weekend. So we quickly packed some things and got in the car and headed to Denver.
Here is Ashton happy to be heading to Denver to see the Johnstons.
We were on the road by 4:50, according to the TomTom it was going to take 9 hours to get to Denver. It ended up only taking about 7 1/2 hours, we got their about 12:30 that night. Ashton was awesome in the car, he watched movies and fell asleep about 9:30. It was fun to spontaneously take a trip like this. We had a great weekend eating lots of good food and even getting in some great shopping.

Watching Fireworks, he loved them I wasn't sure how he would react to them, this was his first time seeing fireworks.
We just have to give a big thanks to John, Lisa, Mia, and Ryan for an awesome weekend. It was nice to spend the holiday with some great friends.

What a fun trip...Colorado is so beautiful. I am glad Ashton did well. Makes car trips so nice when the kid is happy!
