The Zoo

I decided that we all needed to get out of the house today and do something fun. I suggested that we go to Ruth's diner and then go to the zoo. We went and had brunch, Ashton wasn't so cooperative, he didn't want to sit still and he was doing his screaming so Jason and I had to take turns walking with him outside so we could eat and let the people around us enjoy their brunch as well.

Then we headed to the zoo. Ashton has figured out how to climb in and out of the stroller so we would be happy for a while then he would want out, then he would want back in again. We had fun, we got to see a baby giraffe, all the cats were out and pacing so we could see them. We also got to see a couple of black bears playing. We were only there for about 1 1/2 but it was perfect we got to see all most of the animals and Ashton didn't get cranky. He fell asleep in the car even before we left the parking lot, he slept the whole way home and then for about another 1 1/2 when we got home and I transferred him to bed. It turned out to be a great day.
Ashton liked the big cats, this was a leopard
daddy and Ashton, neither of them wanted to cooperate and smile, but it is still a cute picture
Again Ashton didn't want to cooperate for the camera, oh well

This tiger was huge, he was pacing all over the place

I thought it was so cute watching these bears

Jason's coming home

I will be picking Jason up at the airport in 4 hours and 20 mins. I am so excited to have him home I have missed him this week. He has been in Dallas since monday.

just a silly little picture of him:)

On another note. I had a scary event happen this afternoon while I was working. Me and Sharon a lady I work with went to Spanky's (a yummy sandwich shop) to grab some lunch when we were about to leave, she had to sit down because she didn't feel good. She sat down and then fainted on me. She woke up pretty quickly and talked to me then she fainted again. She did that one more time. She was sitting down so she didn't fall she just kind of slumped over. Anyways some other people came over to help and an employee called 911. She kept telling me to leave and go back to the store she would be alright. Like I was really going to leave her there by herself. She didn't seem okay she was breathing pretty quickly and she was cold and clammy.

The paramedics got there and started to check her out, her blood pressure was 80/50. They suggested that they go to the hospital to get her checked out. Of course she didn't want to go but they recommended it. I had to go back to the store to finish a wedding cake, so I quickly went back and finished it so I could head to the hospital to check on her. When I got there her husband had also just got there so we found out where she was and headed to see her. She was doing much better and they were just going to watch her for a little bit longer. I was just happy that she was feeling better and was going to be okay. I would be okay if those kind of things didn't happen to me its just to nerve racking.

Wishing everyday could be mothers day

I had such a good mother's day. Although I still feel weird about it. I don't think of myself as being a mom even though I am. I still just think about celebrating for my mom. Anyways. Ashton woke up at 6:30, but Jason got up with him and I got to stay in bed for a little longer, Ashton had to come and find me. Then I got to have a nap which was awesome. We headed down to my mom's house for dinner. Myron cooked and cleaned up, it was so cool. I even got out of having to change poopy diapers. Now if I could only get away with that all the time.

Here is the beautiful basket and Shepard's hook I got from Ashton

My mom and I

Ashton was smelling the lilacs it was so funny how he would scrunch up his face while he was smelling.

in bloom

I love it when this tree in front of our house is in bloom. I wish it would stay like this longer then it does. In the morning when the sun is shining in the living room it goes through the pink blossoms and fill the room with the most beautiful light.

Are you kidding me?

I woke up this morning to SNOW. It is May 1st there should not be snow on the ground. I let White Dot outside this morning. It was pretty funny watching her try to attack the snow.

This is what it looked like this morning driving up Parleys canyon on my way to Heber. You would think that it is winter, but no it is May.
