32 weeks

Caitlin started clapping this week, it is the cutest thing ever, she will clap then look at her hands like look what I just did with my hands.  Then she will clap again and look around for someone to tell her she's done something cute.  It is adorable

She also had another tooth pop out from her gum, this time it is a top front tooth, the other one is really close behind.

She is getting much better at getting puffs in her mouth.  She picks them up with her left hand then switches them to her right hand and then in her mouth.  She loves food, I haven't found anything she doesn't like.

She is definitely attached to me, she will cry if I walk away from her in a room, it makes me a little crazy some days and really tough to get anything done.

She loves the puppets on baby Einstein, it is so cute to see her face light up when they come on the TV.

She is so close to crawling, and I am not thrilled about it, I seriously don't want a mobile baby.

I had my first experience with her biting me, I was holding her and the little stinker bit my arm.

31 weeks

Oh what a grouch my baby girl has been this week.  On top of still having her gums bug her she caught the cold I had and boy has she been ornery.  She is starting to get back to her happy self and it can't some soon enough.  She is getting close to crawling, and I am not happy about that at all I don't want a mobile baby.
She is getting harder and harder to keep still for these pictures, if I blink she is turned over and sitting up and all over the place.

Tub time

So I finally decided to put Caitlin in the tub by herself she sits really well by herself and she was all over in her little tub.  The thing with these big deep tubs is that bathing babies is kind of crappy.  It isn't quick or easy to bath her and both of our tubs in this house are nice and deep.  Its tough to reach over the edge, half the time I climb in and wash my feet with her to make it a little easier.  It is pretty cute to see how little she looks in the great big tub.

Naked

This baby girl just doesn't sit still at all any more, even when I am holding her she is all over the place.  She can roll over but she doesn't seem to like to if she doesn't have to.  She has gotten pretty good at moving around by sitting up kind of rotating and scooting.  Jason keeps trying to get her to crawl, which I am totally against, I don't want a mobile baby yet.  The other day I was changing her into her jammies and I set her down on her floor for a minute while I went to do something.  She ended up playing on her floor for a while just in her diaper.  I don't normally have naked babies, I just always seem to have them dressed.  I love seeing naked babies I just don't normally leave mine naked.  I thought it was kind of cute watching her play with nothing really but she was happy as can be.

This is where I found Grey for her and made her come out to play with us.

These rolls just kill me, I just want to squeeze her to death she is so squishy!

7 months

These 7 months have just flown by, I just don't know where the time has gone.  She is such a happy baby and totally completely has everyone in the family wrapped around her little finger.  She sleeps through the night, and takes 2 naps every day.  She is eating food and loves it, I have not found anything that she doesn't like yet.  I was finally able to get her to take a bottle and it has been amazing.  I do still nurse her in the morning and before bed, but she takes a bottle during the day.  Her second bottom tooth finally broke through the gum, it is pretty cute to see those two little teeth poking through, but I do have to say I am sad to see her toothless gummy smile go away.  Other fun facts, she loves watching Baby Einsteins, she loves it when Grey comes around, she is a mommas girl, but she is also all eyes for daddy.  Jason will come home and if she hears him before seeing him she whips all around until she catches his eyes, then gives him the biggest grins ever.  She loves being outside.  She doesn't sit still much any more. I have to say I miss the days when she would sit still in my lap.  All in all I wouldn't change a thing about her she is a perfect ending to this little family of ours.

30 weeks

Caitlin is teething and she has been super super grouchy.  She just fusses even when she is being held so it has been super hard to get much done with her needing lots of extra attention.  She still only has one tooth but the other one is pretty close behind it just hasn't poked through yet. I was pretty bummed about her not eating when she was with my mom a few weeks ago, it has been on my mind a lot lately.  So Tuesday afternoon I gave her some watered down apple juice in a bottle and she drank it like she drinks from a bottle all the time.  So I was curious and I made 4 oz of formula  and gave it to her, she drank it all and wanted more.  So I made another 2 oz, she drank all of that too.  I was so excited I could hardly stand it.  I put her down for a nap and when she woke up it was time to eat again so I made another bottle.  She didn't drink it quite as well and she only wanted 4 oz but she still took it.   I went to Target that night and bought some bigger bottles and nipples because the 4 oz ones weren't enough for her.

I nursed her that night and then the next morning, thinking I would keep those feedings but during the day I would do the bottle.  I tried to give her a bottle that next morning and she was not having any of it she fussed and carried on and would not drink it.  She worked herself into a huge fit I finally just nursed her.  But the next feeding I tried the bottle again, she took it not problem, I have found she likes the formula to be on the cool side.  So here we are it has been a couple of days now and she has been taking the bottles during the day with me nursing her at bedtime and when she wakes up in the morning.  I could not be more happy about this, I feel like it gives me a little more freedom during the day.  The only downside is buying the bottles and formula, but that is a small price to pay to be able to have someone else feed her sometimes, or for me to be able to feed her in public without having to nurse her.

I tried to get a happy picture but she was not having any of that.  I figured this is what she has been like with the teething so I thought it was fitting.

Old friends

So I got to spend the evening with a very good old friend last night.  I had been thinking about Naomi a lot lately, so I sent her a text Friday and it turns out she was going to be in Utah this weekend so we made plans to get together on Sunday night for dinner.  Her youngest sister Nichelle and family had moved to Lehi about a month ago so they were staying there and that was were we had dinner.  Jason begged off coming which I was fine with I knew he wouldn't enjoy himself and I didn't want to worry about keeping him happy while I was catching up.  So he stayed home and I took the kids with me.  I made dessert and took with me.  I told the kids that they would have lots of kids to play with so they were happy going along.  It was so fun to visit and catch up, it didn't matter that we haven't seen each other for 6 years it was like no time had passed.  I had such a great evening.

It was so cute, Caitlin was making friends with Nichelle's little boy.  It was so cute watching them interact with each other.

29 Weeks

So I am not sure what I am going to do with this baby girl, she refuses to eat from anyone but me.  I was hoping to ween her, but she won't eat and then last weekend with her refusing to eat at all till I came back.  I am at a loss, I feel bad not feeding her when I can, but it is also hard being so tied to her all the time still.  If I could get her to take a bottle then things would be a little easier.  Its hard to have anyone help with feeding her when Jason's schedule is so crazy he isn't home much.  She is still very attached to me, but she loves her daddy.  She gives him the biggest smiles and perks up when she hears his voice.   This week her first tooth popped out from her gum, it was the left bottom tooth.  She was super fussy for 2 days and just wanted me to hold her and even then she was fussy.  I can see the other bottom tooth it won't be long before it comes through.

Sara Bareilles concert

So Jason and I had ticket to the Sara Bareilles and One Republic concert at Deer Valley.  I asked mom if she would watch the kids for us and we came up with the idea to stay the night up in park city so that we wouldn't have the travel time back and forth.  I was leaving Caitlin with her and she is still nursing so the timing was going to be a little tough.  We found a pretty decent deal on a hotel room so we got a room and mom and Myron got a room.  We got up to park city and got checked in and then I feed Caitlin one last time and gave mom her instructions for feeding her and we headed to the concert.  It was raining and got worse the closer we got to deer valley it was raining harder and harder.  Jason got out and went to get our tickets and get in line to save our place.  I went to park the car and meet up with him.  We stood in line for about an hour before they opened the gates.  It stopped raining but the damage was done Jason was pretty soaked and I was a little wet.  I was glad we had brought umbrellas and blankets.  We found our spot on the hill and got out our dinner, we had crackers, cheese, apples, and grapes.  Even though it had rained earlier the night ended up being beautiful night.  The concert was amazing, Sara was incredible I was wishing we had got to hear more from her.  One Republic closed out the concert and they were amazing, I had a pounding headache that wasn't going away so we almost left but I am so glad we stuck it out because they were awesome.  It took us an hour to get back to our hotel.  I was worried about Caitlin and it seems I had good reason to.

I had feed Caitlin at 4:00 right before we left and then told mom to feed her some food at about 6pm then I had some breast milk and formula she could give her about 8pm.  Well it turns out she wouldn't eat anything, she had a couple bites of food and then wouldn't eat anything else.  She then wouldn't touch the bottle at all.  Mom said she was a little fussy, she took a short nap then finally fell asleep at 10pm.  We got back to the hotel about 11:15 and she woke up when I knocked on the door.  I took her back to our room and feed her, she was starving and then she went back to sleep.  Mom kept both boys with them in their room.
