catching up

I love it when I download pictures from my camera cards and find fun pictures that I didn't know where there. Here are a few that I found today when I finally downloaded my cards.

Just some fun updates, Noah is such a little talker he loves to babble, there are times in the car that Noah is talking away, then Ashton starts talking back to Noah, it gets pretty loud, but I love it. Noah is rolling over from his back to tummy, he is getting so he doesn't hate being on his tummy as much as he did in the beginning. He has almost mastered the sitting by himself. He sits great with support, I can let him sit by himself for a minute or so, then he topples over. He has also discovered his feet, which I am positive if he could he would put those in his mouth too. He puts everything in his mouth. I am wanting to start weaning Noah from nursing, but it may be tougher than I had hoped. He won't take a bottle from me at all, and he only takes a bottle from someone else sometimes. Oh and he won't even touch formula. I am starting now so that when I leave him in August with Grandma it won't be a problem.

Ashton is talking quite a bit more, he is into repeating words that we say, it is really cute. Now we just have to watch what we say (hint hint honey :))We are learning body parts right now he has most of them down. He knows how to count to five, and we are working on the alphabet. He seems semi interested in the potty, so I went and got him a little potty and we will see what happens, I am not expecting anything right now, but I didn't think it would hurt to have one around.

Jason is almost done with school for the semester, then we get to have a break for the summer. We are all looking forward to the summer break, it will be nice to have daddy home more.

I got a call from a former boss last week asking if I was interested in coming back to work a few hours a week. I decided that was just what I needed, to have a few hours a few hours a week that I don't have to worry about kids or anything. So I decided to do it, it will only be 6- 8 hours a week in the evening after Jason gets home from work. So far so good I think this will be just what I needed, to have a few hours away from the boys, as much as I love them and love being home with them it is nice to have some time away. Anyways that is what has been happening in our little family right now, sorry it was so long and boring, I am going to assume that if you made it through this post you must of been really bored :)

Easter Fun

My mom does an Easter egg hunt every year, and up until a couple of years ago she still insisted that the adults participated. Now that there are grand kids, it is all about them. Well about Ashton anyways it will be a couple of years before Noah gets the hang of it. The rain held off until after the hunt was over which was awesome. I know that is was too cold for shorts and short sleeved shirts, but I bought Ashton Easter outfits and I wanted him to wear them so he did, am I bad mother for it? who knows but he did look cute.

Ashton got to stay with Grandma and Grandpa which was awesome for him and Jason and I. We went to dinner, we did have Noah with us but he is easy to take to dinner.

Sunday we woke up to clear blue skies it was perfect, we spent time with both sides of the family, it was a great weekend. We tried to get a family picture, but Ashton did not want to have his picture taken. If you look closely he is screaming oh well :)

I tried to get some cute pictures of the boys in their Easter outfits, but they just were not going to cooperate. No one wanted to look at the camera, oh well maybe next year.

Play land and Swimming

So I got a text from Korie this morning inviting us to go to the play land and then swimming. I thought it was a great idea, other than me having to be in a bathing suit. I had to make a quick stop at the store for some swim diapers for Noah, then it was off to the play land. The boys had a great time playing at the play land for about an hour then it was off to the pool. We got to the pool and we had to wait for about an hour before it opened, so the boys ran around and played on the rock wall.

This was Noah first experience at the pool and he seemed to love it.

He actually fell asleep in his turtle then slept in my arms for about 15-20 mins while the boys played.

Ethan and Ashton had a great time playing in the pool.

It took a while for Mason to decide he liked the water but he soon came around.

It was a fun morning, it was time to leave when the pool was becoming crowded and I kept getting squirted with water by random kids.

Living Planet Aquarium

We wanted to do something fun today, but I wasn't in the mood to be outside (it was snowing and I am done with the snow, it is time for spring) so I decided to try someplace we haven't been before. The living plant Aquarium. I though Ashton would like it, because it has fish and he loves fish. I was right he did love it, we got to see an exhibit with fish that live in Utah. Then it was onto the fish from the ocean.

We got to see Jelly fish, which Ashton did not like at all, he freaked out when I tried to get him to look at them. Don't know why it was weird.

the biggest lobster I have ever seen

Sea Horses, they were so cute with their tails curled around the corral

lots beautiful fish and corral, it was cool they had steps up to all of the aquariums so that the kids could see the fish better, Ashton loved climbing up on all of them.

I loved this one with Ashton's finger pointing at the fish

We got to touch some sting rays, well I tried to but it would not cooperate with me, it liked to be on the opposite side of the pool that I was standing. Oh well maybe next time.

Little Sharks, they were cute I liked them. Again that was Ashton's finger at the bottom pointing

They also had this South America exhibit, with snakes, spiders, and such. I felt what it would be like to be shocked by an electric fish, Jason made me try it he was to chicken :)

It was a lot of fun and Ashton loved it, we will definitely go again
