Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch with some friends of ours. It was way out west in Farmington and we had forgotten about the mosquitoes. We had only been there for a few minutes and Ashton was getting bitten all over. We stayed for a few pictures and got a couple of small pumpkins and left. I was a little sad, that we didn't get pumpkins for Jason and I to carve but I didn't want Ashton to get any more bites.

It was so cute to watch Ashton and Ethan together, they play so well together, what one does that other one has to do.

Thriller

Last night Jason and I got to have a date night (Thanks mom) we went and saw Thriller at Kingsbury Hall, if you haven't seen this it is a must. This is the second time Jason and I have seen it, we went when we were first dating and loved it. It is a evening full of dance, music, and comedy. Some of my favorites were of course Thriller, Lorena Bobbitt was hilarious, I also loved Mr. Roboto the lead was this 11 or 12 year old boy who was amazing. It nice to go out and know that we would get to sleep in the next day with Ashton being at my mom's house, well I got to sleep in, Jason had to go to school :(
These were some of the dancers, they roamed around before the show scaring people

growing up so fast

As it gets closer to having another baby I find myself feeling sad that my baby will no longer be my baby. He is growing so fast I can hardly believe it. It seems like just yesterday we brought Ashton home and life as we knew it was never the same. He has brighten our lives so much. But there are days when all I need is to go see grandma, and give mom a break for a little bit. Thank goodness for Grandma who love having Ashton around and is willing to have sleepovers and loves having him around.
I also wonder what he is going to think about sharing his time with another person, he has had our undivided attention since the day he was born, so we will see what happens.

Even now as I am sitting in the office blogging, Jason is on his computer, I can hear Ashton in the family room watching Baby Einstein and talking "a ball", " a cup", " a apple". I love how right now he puts "a" in front of most of his words. It just puts a smile on my face listening to him talking.

Happy 50th Mom

It was my mom's 50th birthday this last week. I decided that we needed to throw her a surprise party. There was no way I would be able to pull it off before her birthday, so we had to plan it for after her b-day. So I have spent all this last week making preparations and getting ready for the party. Sat the big day finally arrived, things went really smooth.

Here is the cake I made. The top layer was white cake with raspberry filling and the bottom was chocolate with raspberry filling. It was all covered in chocolate fondant. Which tastes much better than white fondant, in my opinion.

Here is a surprised mom, I thought that I was going to be in a trouble for a minute, but all was well in the end.

The party turned out to be a big success, we had alot of people almost everyone who was invited came, and my mom was totally surprised. It was a lot of fun and I was so happy to do it but it will be a while before I try to pull something like this off again.

Here is the food, we had lemonade, water, meatballs, veggie trays, cheese and crackers, sugar cookies, cake, and a chocolate fountain with strawberries, pretzels, and cream puffs.

I decided that I didn't want to do the old black theme, so I choose pink and brown and it turned out really cute. I thought it was funny when mom walked in and she was even wearing pink :) I made a birthday banner, and for some reason I only got a pic of the birthday part there was a happy 50th part also, I blame it on having to many things to think about all at once. I used my silhouette cutter that Jason got me for Christmas last year. I have used it for my scrapbooking, but it totally has paid for it self with how much I used it this week alone. At least I took this picture at home.

Jason and Ashton

Ashton with grandma. Ashton figured out how the use the punch fountain and was helping himself to the punch all night. He would walk around with his cup so full he would leave a trail of juice behind him, he would hold up his cup and say "a cup", it was so cute I couldn't really get mad at him. This was at the end of the night and Ashton was so tired. He just wanted to be held and cuddled. Mommy was busy cleaning up so Uncle Aaron had to due.

good to be home

I spent all week in Montana for work. I have to admit that being away for a few days is nice. I get up get myself ready for work and then get to go to dinner and then spent time in the hotel watching TV or reading things that are a little hard to do with a almost 2 year old wanting your attention all the time. After being gone for two days I am ready to be back home taking care of my family.
