13 weeks

I feel as if we are slowly getting into a routine around here which is awesome.  We are still on the go most mornings and tend to be home in the afternoon so Caitlin is able to take a good long nap.  I am able to get stuff done in the afternoon.

I am loving this stage right now with her, she is so responsive and interacts with us, I love it when she talks to me and smiles.  One of my favorite things is when I go to get her out of her bed and unswaddle her she stretches and stretches it is the cutest thing in the world.  Most of the time she gets at least one of her arms out of the swaddle.  Jason thinks we should stop swaddling her but then she wouldn't sleep as good so I might try a different swaddler and see if that makes a difference or not.

I feel like she is losing some of her fat rolls, they are still there but she seems to be growing into them a little bit.  I love a chubby baby!!  I am going to have buy some bigger onesies, the 0-3 month ones are getting pretty tight.

I just can't get enough of this baby girl, these cheeks, the rolls, the smiles they all just melt my heart!

Mothers Day

So for Mothers day this year, I wanted to go and get a manicure and pedicure with some friends.  So on Saturday that is what I did.  I had arranged to meet two friends at the nail salon at 10am, I was figuring on feeding Caitlin at 9:30 then having 3 hours and thought Jason would be able to feed her some pumped breast milk if needed.  I should of know it wasn't going to work out how I had planned.  Caitlin of course slept in so she wasn't even close to being ready to eat when I needed her to so Jason was going to have to feed her around 10:30.  Jason had a haircut at 9am then he went to run a few errands so he was a few minutes late getting home and the girls were waiting for me when I finally arrived.  Once there I was able to relax and enjoy some down time with no kids.  I got a pedicure and manicure.  Then Korie had to go to a lunch with her family and Chelsea and I went to lunch at Zuppas.  It was a wonderful afternoon and I felt so refreshed when I got back home, I made it back just in time to feed Caitlin she was pretty happy to see me and have me feed her.  Jason said she didn't enjoy the bottle so much this time, it took about 45 mins before she finally settled down and took the bottle.  We are just going to have to keep giving her a bottle once a week or so to keep her use to it I think.

Sunday we got up and Jason made me French toast, then we headed down to my mom's house for dinner.  Jason was in charge of dessert he made these yummy peanut butter balls that were to die for I seriously haven't been able to stop eating them.   Its a good thing they are gone or I will be gaining back all the baby weight I have lost!

I would like to say how nice my day started out, but that would be a lie.  Noah was being his usual difficult self and was throwing all sorts of fits over stupid things.  I decided that I was going to pretend like Saturday was mothers day because the day was so nice and Sunday wasn't going so well.
We tried to get a picture of me and the kids and of course there wasn't a whole lot of cooperation.  I am sure one day I will look back on this and laugh, so I guess I should be happy I have one with all three kids.

We had a wonderful dinner of steak, twice baked potatoes, salad, and fruit.  Mom ended up doing a lot of the food because the twins were helping build the new swing set that they got for the grand kids.  I decided to put Caitlin in the Easter dress my mom got for her because she would love it and if I didn't there was no way she would wear it, we really have no reason to wear fancy dresses like that a lot.  She looked adorable in it and mom loved it.

While hanging out in the new clubhouse, Noah had a little meltdown over a broken piece of Otterpop, it was a little reminiscent of the lollipop incident of 2010. I had to take pictures to document it.

12 weeks

I can't believe three months have gone by since Caitlin was born.  She is growing like crazy and she even decided to roll over this last weekend.  I  was reading to the boys before bed and she was laying on the floor and she kept throwing her legs to one side and sure enough she rolled over.  I rolled her back to her back and kept reading and she did it again.  I then ran to get my phone to video her and see if she would do it again.  Over again she went, the boys thought it was so funny watching her roll over.  I was excited, but then at the same time so sad at how quickly this time is flying by.  I want her to stay little forever!

We are slowly trying to get into a schedule during the day, but it is a little hard it feels like we are in the car constantly each morning till we drop Ashton off at school at 12:45 I seriously hate this afternoon kindergarten I can't wait for summer to be here.  So our mornings are a little crazy with the dropping off the kids and then usually running errands.  But the afternoons we have been taking pretty good naps in her bed.  The one day I actually had to go wake her up, I hadn't realized it was 7pm so I woke her up so she would go to bed when I put the boys down.

Another fun new things this week is I pulled out the Baby Einsteins.  She was fussing one afternoon and I really needed her to be happy while I was working on a project.  So I put on a baby Einstein on my ipad, once she focused on it she immediately calmed down.  She is so much like Ashton as a baby.  He loved the baby Einsteins also, Noah never cared for them.  I also pulled out the Bumbo, she is still a little too small for it but I thought I would try, so far she hates it.  She will sit for a minute then she just fusses so we will she what happens with that.

She is also my baby with the least amount of hair.  I have been looking at old pictures and both the boys had more hair than she does.  Oh well, good thing for bows and headbands!

The monthly teddy bear picture, my friend gave me some of her little girls clothes here is one of the outfits.  They were all so cute, just what this baby girl needed more clothes for me to choose from each day!

11 Weeks

Caitlin is still the star around these parts.  I am struggling with keeping Noah away from her.  One the one hand I am happy that he loves her as much as he does and I want to encourage him loving on her, but at times he can be a little intense.  There have been many times I turn around to do something and when I turn back he is actually sitting on top of her or something like that.  It is a constant struggle to keep him from stuff like that.  He can be really sweet, like when she starts to cry he will come up to her and repeat many times, "don't cry, don't cry, its okay don't cry"

She is still sleeping through the night, which is awesome.  I have been putting her down somewhere between 7:30 and 8:30 and most nights she is still awake when she is put down.  Some nights she fusses for just a couple of minutes and other nights she is out immediately.  I am not sure how we lucked out to have such an awesome sleeper but I am definitely not complaining.

10 weeks

Caitlin has been sleeping through the night for about two weeks now, she goes down around 8 and sleeps till 7 in the morning.  It is amazing, my only complaint is that my breasts are really engorged every morning.  I have started pumping right before I go to bed and that helps a little bit.  She is starting to coo more and more and it is so cute.  For the most part she is such an easy baby, and I am so grateful for that.  The last couple of days she has been pretty fussy in the afternoon and evening so much so that I can't put her down.  I am not getting much done, but this time with her being so little isn't going to last forever so I am trying to just slow down and enjoy it.  Some of her nicknames these days consist of little KK, Caitlin may, baby girl, my little lovely love.  I have to say I am loving the warmer weather this last week, I am able to pull out her summer outfits.  It has been so much fun, I love seeing her little legs and toes all uncovered and even her little arms.   I love her rolls on her arms and legs they make me so happy.  Man I love this baby girl!

I have been wanting to try to get this photo for a while now.  Of course it wasn't easy Noah threw a huge fit about laying on the bed but I did manage to get one I liked.

Johnston's visit

So our friends who live in Denver were heading to Vegas for spring break and wanted to stop and see us on their way.  It was fun to see them, I hadn't seen them for almost 5 years and they never met Noah or Caitlin.  We went to dinner at Pats BBQ, then just visited at home.  They left pretty early the next day so it was a quick visit but a lot of fun.  It was fun to see how big their girls had gotten.  we hope they can come again and spend a little more time with us.

We tried to get a picture of all the kids together, this was the best we could get.

This picture makes me smile, the Johnstons had left and then Lisa called and said we hadn't gotten a picture of everone so they came back so we could get a shot of everone.

9 weeks

Another week has gone by, Caitlin is such a good baby.  She had been sleeping through the night the last few nights, I should knock on wood so she continues it.  She still likes to be in her swing and her new favorite is the play mat she will lay on it and be happy for a little while, which is nice for me to be able to get things done.  Ashton is such a good helper, if she is crying I can have him go and try to calm her down, most of the time it totally works too.  I have had to get after Noah lately for being in her face too much.  He loves to kiss on her and touch her face which is really cute but he gets in her face and sometimes it just makes her upset.  As she gets bigger I think she is looking more like Ashton.

Can I just say again how much fun it is having a girl and how much fun it is dressing and shopping for her.
