We spent the weekend in Park City, to celebrate the 4th of July. It was a blast, things are so low key it was awesome. We got up there Friday night, got settled into the condo and went to dinner at Baja Cantina. The food was awesome and it was a beautiful night to eat outside, although I always forget how it cools down really quickly when the sun goes down.
Saturday morning we got up and got ready and headed to the parade at 11am. Now that is my kind of parade, you don't have to get up at the butt crack of dawn to get to the parade, you don't have to stake out your spot 3 days in advance. We walked down to the parade found a spot and settled in for a fun little parade. It was a little quirky, but hey that is Park City.

fter the parade we headed to PCMR and rode the Alpine slide, I was a little nervous to see how Ashton would do on the lift up to the slide. You never know with him, he just sat there and seemed to love it. We got the slide and had one person in front of us and it started to ran. We sat for a few mins to wait it out. Then they got a call to shut it down. So we had to head back to the lift and they were going to get us back down the mountain. We were almost back to the lift when they yelled the slides were open again, so we took off running, we wanted our spots in line. Ashton rode with me, I knew Jason wanted to go as fast as possible and I feared for Ashton.
We headed back to the condo, which was across the parking lot, it was awesome to not have to drive everywhere. The boys needed naps, if they were going to watch fireworks. The hotel was hosting a BBQ for the guests, so we ate lunch there and put the boys down for a nap. The fireworks were right outside our hotel so we staked out our spot for the fireworks and it was an awesome spot. Ashton loved the fireworks last year so I thought he would again. I was a little wrong. He was really apprehensive the whole time. During the finale, he actually covered his face with the blanket. I think he was scared because it was so loud, we weren't that far from where they were lighting them off.
We got up Sunday morning and went shopping at the outlets and headed home. It was an awesome relaxing weekend. Thanks Mom and Myron for suggesting it we had a great time.

love his hair cut though
Looks like a fun day! We watched the stadium of lameness, I mean fire, over by the Provo Temple. The fireworks were pretty lame and then it took us a full 2 hours to get out of Provo afterwards. hahaha Never doing that again. :) I like the walk across the parking lot idea!
