iphone dump

So it has been a while since I have blogged regularly, I am going to try really hard to keep caught up I hate getting so far behind and I love having this as a way to keep up with what is going on in our family.

At the beginning of the year Ashton started at his new school.  I am not going to lie and say we have loved it, it has been a rough transition for me and for Ashton.  He doesn't like going in the afternoon, and I hate him going in the afternoon.  There are a lot of things they do differently at the new school and Ashton misses some of the things they did at his previous school.  It is slowly getting better, he is meeting more kids and seems happier.  The first few weeks he was not his same happy go lucky self.  When I would pick him up from school he wasn't real happy and you couldn't get him to say much about school or what he did.  That is getting better so I think he is adjusting the longer he is there.  Both Jason and feel bad about moving him but this was the right decision, and I know once it warms up and the kids in the neighborhood come outside more, he will like this new school even more. I just didn't think that it would affect him as much as it has.  But then he came from a class that he loved and an awesome teacher.

We woke up to over a foot of snow one Friday morning, Jason needed to take his car in to the dealership so we had to take him to work afterwards. We didn't have time to shovel the driveway before we left.  My car did just fine, Jason got stuck for a minute at the end of the driveway.  We got to the car dealership and no one was there, so Jason just headed off to work and since I was already out of the house and the boys were ready for the day.   I didn't want to just go home again, school had been canceled for Ashton so we had a free day to do whatever.   I took the boys to McDonald's for breakfast, then we went to the children's museum to play.

It was nice at the museum there weren't a lot of people there, most people were to scared to be driving in the snow.

The boys were needing to get out of the house so we took them to the park to go sledding.  They had tons of fun, me not so much it was freezing, I think it was around 18 degrees when I looked at my phone.  Noah got tired of sledding and wanted to play on the playground so we let him play there and Ashton kept sledding and Jason and I were able to sit in the car and get warm.

We had a cold front come in and the temps were really cold.

I went with Noah's pre school on a field trip and because Ashton has afternoon kindergarten he got to come with us too.  We went to the dentist office, the hair salon, and then a sandwich shop and the kids got ice cream.

I am slowly making progress in the baby's room, I got the walls painted and then the accent wall done.  The crib is up with the bedding which I still love but has been a pain to find things to match.

Jason wasn't feeling well for a few days, he fell asleep on the couch all bundled up and slept for a couple of hours this way.

I made a headband for the baby, it was fun but time consuming.

I finally bought her a pair of shoes, I can't believe I have waited so long to buy her a pair of shoes.  If anyone knows me they know I have a thing for shoes.  I can promise that this won't be the last pair she gets.

The boys made lunch for their stuffed animals, some days they are so dang cute when they play together, other days they fight like crazy and make me nuts.

Jason decided one night he was in the mood for some meatballs, so he found a recipe and made them for us for dinner.  They turned out really good, the onions were a little much but other than that it was awesome. Wish this happened more often! I like it when he cooks for me

We got more snow again so I had to shovel it, Jason was at work and then he had school so he wasn't going to get to it.  The boys helped me for about a minute, then it was just play time for them.  At least the snow was light and fluffy so it was pretty easy for me to shovel it.

The boys and their computers, they each have one now so there is no fighting over who gets to play what.  I loved that they were both  on the floor playing.  So like their daddy.
