I can't believe she has been with us for 6 months now, the time has just flown by. At her check up today she weighted 17 lbs and was 26 1/4 inches long. That put her in the 80% for weight and 70% for height she is one healthy baby girl. This week I decided to just sit her up on the floor and she has been sitting up ever since, and she sits really well. She has been eating food and seems to love it so far. We are still working on different flavors and textures but so far so good. Some of her accomplishments so far, she sits up, she rolls over from back to front all the time, and just started going from stomach to back but not all the time. Her feet are constantly in her mouth, she is a little jabber box and drools all the time. She is taking two naps and sleeping through the night. She takes her morning nap two hours after she wakes up in the morning, it is never very long usually 1/2 to an hour long. Then she takes a longer afternoon nap around 2 or so and will sleep for about 3-4 hours. She is having cereal and vegetables at night and that usually extends how long she can go between feeding. I seriously can't believe how much I love this baby girl she makes our family complete.

4th of July
On the 3rd of July West Bountiful has fireworks in the city park, we planned on going and the boys were really excited about it. I wasn't sure what I was going to do with Caitlin, the fireworks didn't start till 10pm and she has usually been in bed for hours by that point. Jason ended up having a rough day at work and needed to go and have drinks so he was going to be late but said he would be home in time for fireworks. I had to go to the store to get the last few things for dinner the next day and when we were done with the store the boys wanted to buy fireworks. I sent Jason a text and asked if he cared if I bought fireworks without him, he didn't so we went ahead the boys were in heaven, I let them pick out the fireworks and I wasn't sure what we were going to have at the end but I figured as long as the kids were happy then it didn't matter.
I also got this cute bow I had to have baby girl wear but it didn't look right with her outfit that day and I had another one she was going to wear on the 4th so I paired it with her jammies to go watch the fireworks. I know I am a little crazy, but it is so much fun to have a girl!
Jason ended up not making it home for the fireworks I headed over to the park about 9:30 and we found a spot and waited, they had food booths and music set up, it looked like fun next year we may go earlier and enjoy the festivities. Caitlin ended up waking up and was awake for the whole firework display, I had brought Jason's headphones to put on her ears in case it was too loud for her, but she just sat on my lap and loved watching the fireworks. It was so cute to watch her, she loved it. It has only been the last couple of years that the boys have liked the fireworks and have been able to watch them with out covering their ears.
So for the 4th of July we went to Lagoon again this year. Mom and the twins came with us this time around. Myron had to work so he wasn't able to come with us.
Don't let Noah's face fool you he had lots of fun, he was just sad he didn't get his own jeep. he wasn't fast enough and he had to share with Ashton.
Mom was able to get us some discount tickets from her work that were pretty decent deal. I didn't tell the boys until that morning because I didn't want to hear them carry on about when we were going. I know a lot of people think we are crazy to go on a holiday but it really isn't busy at all, the longest line we stood in was about 10 mins. Most of the ride we were able to walk right on them or we waited just a couple of mins. It was nice to have mom there, she pushed Caitlin around and let us big kids ride on rides while she watched the little kids.
Oh how I love this little family of mine.
After Lagoon we headed to our house and then we were going to have a bar-b-que. The twins couldn't stay Aaron had to get to Stadium of fire so they left. We finally used the fire pit for the first time ever. It was fun to finally have a fire and use it. It was a fun day, after we cleaned up Mom and Myron headed home, they were tired and didn't want to stay for fireworks. The boys had been outside playing with Tate across the street and they came running in and said if we wanted we could bring our fireworks over to Tate's house and we could light all them off together. So that is what we did, I got Caitlin to bed by 8:00 she was so tired and we went to light off fireworks with the neighbors. Things were going well and everyone was having fun until we suddenly got hit with a firework. One of the fountains got tipped over and shot into us sitting on the driveway. So the next one got held down with some bricks, wouldn't you know it did the same thing. A couple kids got hit and were crying, both Jason and I got hit but weren't hurt. That ended the fun and then we lost the kids attention. We finished off the last few big ones we had, they did get moved farther out into the road and we kept the kids up on the porch out of the way. Overall it was a very fun 4th of July.

My birthday
I know this was almost two months ago but I can't let this event go without blogging about it. My mom had offered to take the boys for the weekend as my bday present. I was thrilled with that and was looking forward to spending the weekend with Jason and baby girl. Jason asked what I wanted to do for the weekend, so I told him I wanted to go to Tepanyaki for dinner and then go to the Farmers market Saturday morning. So my birthday weekend started off by going golfing Friday afternoon with my dad and brothers, while Val watched the kids. It was a fun afternoon and I didn't do too horrible seeing how I haven't golfed in a year. It was a great way to start off the weekend.
When Jason got home we went to dinner at Tepanyaki and it was so yummy. Once done with dinner we went to Costco (I know so exciting) but it was fun to wonder around and not have kids bugging us. I wasn't quite ready to go home so we stopped for some ice cream before heading home.
Saturday we got up and Jason left to run a few errands and came home with cupcakes for me. So We ate cupcakes for breakfast, they were so yummy.
We then got going and went to the farmers market in SLC, it was fun just hanging out with two of us and Caitlin just went along with what we did, she was such an easy baby. We left and went and got some lunch and ran some errands, not to terribly exciting but it was so fun without dragging two boys along and keeping try to keep them happy.
We then headed home to get cleaned up and then go to dinner. While at home Jason found some playhouse he wanted to go look at, I was all game for it the only down side was that it was down in Utah county. He asked if there was somewhere down there we would want to go to dinner. I suggested going to Sundance, I figured it was my birthday and that would be fun. So we got ready but right before we left I needed to feed Caitlin before we left otherwise we would of had a screaming baby. Once she was feed we headed down, along the way Jason started having some issues and he needed to find a bathroom. I suggested we could stop at my mom's house and he could go then we could go on our way. So Caitlin and I came in with him, there was no way my mom would let us just wait in the car, I figured we would be in and out in a few minutes. I walked in the front door and through to the kitchen and no one was inside and I was looking through the patio doors and I saw someone who looked like my friend Chelsea, but I knew it couldn't be her cause why would she be at my mom's house. But then I saw her baby, then I saw other people. My first thought was that my mom was having a dinner party and didn't tell me about it and I was feeling bad because she had my boys. Then I walked in the backyard and I finally noticed all the people and they were all my friends. Jason and my mom had pulled off a surprise party for me!! I was so floored and impressed that they pulled it off. I couldn't believe all the people that had come, Chelsea and her family, Korie and her family, Emily and her family, Jeff and Travis, Lisa and her girls, my brothers, and Carly, Angela and Family, my dad and Val and grandma slaughter. I was so surprised.
It was a luau themed party, the food of course was amazing I wouldn't expect anything else from my mom. The whole back yard was decorated and the kids were having a blast playing in the yard with all the fun toys my mom has gotten for the grandkids. I spent the night trying to visit with everyone and it was such a fun night. People slowly started leaving and the only people left at the end of the night was Chelsea and Marvin it was nice to sit and visit and just relax and hang out. We had such a great time. The whole night was such a fun and amazing night, I am stilled so amazed that so many people drove as far as they did just to come for my party. I felt very loved, and it was a great way to celebrate my 35th birthday. I wish I had taken more photos but I actually only took a couple, I know my mom took some so one day I will get them from her.
Jerzie wanted a picture of her wearing the real lei that I got instead of the fake ones everyone else had to wear.
Baby girl got passed around to lots of people

weeks 23, 24 & 25
So I am a little behind on posting Caitlin's weekly photos. We have had a couple busy weeks, first we went camping, then I went to Nashville with Jason and Caitlin. I am finally home and just trying to get caught up on everything.
Week 23
So we planned a family camping trip with Dad and Val, we had a rough time trying to find a weekend that worked for everyone. We finally came up with this weekend, it was the one that worked for the most people. I wasn't completely sure as to how well Caitlin would do but I was willing to risk it. So this week Caitlin got her first experience with camping, and overall she did amazing. She also had her first food while camping, I gave her some watermelon and she LOVED it. I guess its time to get her some food. Before we left I took her to insta care, she has been fussy for a couple of weeks, I just wanted to make sure there wasn't something I was missing. She was perfect nothing wrong with her, and I found out she weighted 16 pounds. Still sleeping through the night and overall a good baby.
Week 24
This was another big week for little Caitlin, it was her first plane ride. We were tagging along with Jason on his trip to Nashville. She did pretty good on her first flight, I was able to time her feedings just right so I was feeding her while we took of and she fussed for a few minutes but overall I can't complain. We spent the week in Nashville and for the most part she was such a good baby, she slept great and was pretty good, but she was held a whole lot. She was a little harder on the flight home, but still was pretty good. I have been giving her rice cereal every day and so far she loves it.
Week 25
We spent another couple of days in Nashville and then flew home. This flight we got to have a whole row for the three of us which was really nice Caitlin fussed a little bit more on this flight, but then she fell asleep and I was able to lay her down on the seat between Jason and I. Once we got home Caitlin had to be broken of a few bad habits. While we were in Nashville she was a held a whole bunch and she got off schedule with her naps. She now wants to be held all day long and she wont sleep for much longer than an hour at a time. So it has been a rough week getting her back to her normal schedule. She also isn't sleep through the night like she normally does, I am exhausted and missing my normally happy and easy going baby girl.

22 Weeks
This has been a rough week for baby girl, she has been a little fussy. I've been wondering if she was teething, but nothing is coming through her gums yet. She woke up twice this last week at night which is very unusual for her and nothing I did would calm her down so I had to feed her. I am trying not to complain because she has been such a good sleeper so far, but man I have been tired this last week. On a side note Ashton told me that he wished he was our last baby because I kiss on my baby more than I kiss on him. That made me sad to hear, so I an trying to love on my boys as much as I love on Caitlin, its just a little harder when the boys aren't around as much playing with their friends.

5 months
Caitlin is 5 months today (well actually on the 15th I just didn't get this post finished) I can't believe how fast the time has gone by. She is such a wonderful baby I seriously could not love her more. She has been a little grouchy lately and I am not sure why. I think she might be teething, she has been drooling a ton lately and she chews on everything. But I keep feeling in her mouth and nothing is coming through yet. She hasn't been sleeping as great this last week she has woken up twice this week and nothing seems to calm her down, so I had to feed her. I don't feel like I can complain much about it because she has been such an awesome sleeper. She has been sleeping through the night since she was about 2 months old. But it does make for one tired mom in the mornings.
Some fun facts, she rolls over all the time from her back to stomach. She doesn't mind being on her stomach. She loves to stand when you are holding her. I pulled out the exersaucer she only kind of likes it. I had to raise it to the highest setting so she could stand up in it and that seems to help with her liking being in it for longer periods of time. She loves her daddy, she lights up when she sees him. She loves her big brother Ashton, she likes Noah but it more cautious around him. He is definitely more rough with her. She breaks out of her swaddler all of the time so I guess it is time to put that away, so that has made naps and bed time a little harder. She likes to sleep with her hands behind her head. I am still nursing her, I said my goal was to go 6 months like I did with Noah. But this time around it doesn't bother me as much, I actually enjoy feeding her so we will see how long the nursing continues. She does this funny thing while eating she kind of hums, it is really cute to listen to. I had to take a video of it just so I could remember it. She hates to be put down then have you walk of the room. She loves to grab her feet and put them in her mouth. She has the most glorious plump arms and legs, I just want to kiss on her all the time. She doesn't love being in her car seat, she fusses and cries, especially if the car stops for any reason. I have found the only thing to calm her down sometimes is baby Einstein. I bought these holders that clip onto the headrest that I can put an ipad or my phone in so I can play a video for her. So far it has worked out great, especially when I remember to bring an ipad with me. If I have forgotten my phone does work it is just smaller.
Our nap schedule it pretty good she takes a short little nap in the morning about 2 hours after she has woken up, then in the afternoon she takes a long nap usually 3-4 hours. Depending on when she goes down she might need another short cat nap in the evening before bed. She is usually in bed by 8 or 8:30 and she sleeps all night. I have been so lucky to have such a great sleeper.
