30 weeks

Caitlin is teething and she has been super super grouchy.  She just fusses even when she is being held so it has been super hard to get much done with her needing lots of extra attention.  She still only has one tooth but the other one is pretty close behind it just hasn't poked through yet. I was pretty bummed about her not eating when she was with my mom a few weeks ago, it has been on my mind a lot lately.  So Tuesday afternoon I gave her some watered down apple juice in a bottle and she drank it like she drinks from a bottle all the time.  So I was curious and I made 4 oz of formula  and gave it to her, she drank it all and wanted more.  So I made another 2 oz, she drank all of that too.  I was so excited I could hardly stand it.  I put her down for a nap and when she woke up it was time to eat again so I made another bottle.  She didn't drink it quite as well and she only wanted 4 oz but she still took it.   I went to Target that night and bought some bigger bottles and nipples because the 4 oz ones weren't enough for her.

I nursed her that night and then the next morning, thinking I would keep those feedings but during the day I would do the bottle.  I tried to give her a bottle that next morning and she was not having any of it she fussed and carried on and would not drink it.  She worked herself into a huge fit I finally just nursed her.  But the next feeding I tried the bottle again, she took it not problem, I have found she likes the formula to be on the cool side.  So here we are it has been a couple of days now and she has been taking the bottles during the day with me nursing her at bedtime and when she wakes up in the morning.  I could not be more happy about this, I feel like it gives me a little more freedom during the day.  The only downside is buying the bottles and formula, but that is a small price to pay to be able to have someone else feed her sometimes, or for me to be able to feed her in public without having to nurse her.

I tried to get a happy picture but she was not having any of that.  I figured this is what she has been like with the teething so I thought it was fitting.
