10 weeks

Caitlin has been sleeping through the night for about two weeks now, she goes down around 8 and sleeps till 7 in the morning.  It is amazing, my only complaint is that my breasts are really engorged every morning.  I have started pumping right before I go to bed and that helps a little bit.  She is starting to coo more and more and it is so cute.  For the most part she is such an easy baby, and I am so grateful for that.  The last couple of days she has been pretty fussy in the afternoon and evening so much so that I can't put her down.  I am not getting much done, but this time with her being so little isn't going to last forever so I am trying to just slow down and enjoy it.  Some of her nicknames these days consist of little KK, Caitlin may, baby girl, my little lovely love.  I have to say I am loving the warmer weather this last week, I am able to pull out her summer outfits.  It has been so much fun, I love seeing her little legs and toes all uncovered and even her little arms.   I love her rolls on her arms and legs they make me so happy.  Man I love this baby girl!

I have been wanting to try to get this photo for a while now.  Of course it wasn't easy Noah threw a huge fit about laying on the bed but I did manage to get one I liked.

Johnston's visit

So our friends who live in Denver were heading to Vegas for spring break and wanted to stop and see us on their way.  It was fun to see them, I hadn't seen them for almost 5 years and they never met Noah or Caitlin.  We went to dinner at Pats BBQ, then just visited at home.  They left pretty early the next day so it was a quick visit but a lot of fun.  It was fun to see how big their girls had gotten.  we hope they can come again and spend a little more time with us.

We tried to get a picture of all the kids together, this was the best we could get.

This picture makes me smile, the Johnstons had left and then Lisa called and said we hadn't gotten a picture of everone so they came back so we could get a shot of everone.

9 weeks

Another week has gone by, Caitlin is such a good baby.  She had been sleeping through the night the last few nights, I should knock on wood so she continues it.  She still likes to be in her swing and her new favorite is the play mat she will lay on it and be happy for a little while, which is nice for me to be able to get things done.  Ashton is such a good helper, if she is crying I can have him go and try to calm her down, most of the time it totally works too.  I have had to get after Noah lately for being in her face too much.  He loves to kiss on her and touch her face which is really cute but he gets in her face and sometimes it just makes her upset.  As she gets bigger I think she is looking more like Ashton.

Can I just say again how much fun it is having a girl and how much fun it is dressing and shopping for her.

Iphone dump

I actually downloaded all the pictures from my phone the other day.  About 90% of them are of Caitlin, i guess that is to be expected with a new baby in the house.  We are all loving having her in the family.  I am so so happy to have a daughter it is so much fun, and it is also so fun to see how much the boys love her and look out for her.

So here's a look at the last 2 months of our lives staring Caitlin

I love this picture of Jason and Caitlin in the hospital she just stared at him forever it was so dang precious

Me and my girl in the hospital, I had sent Jason home to get some sleep so it was just the two of us.

In the car seat ready to come home, she looked so tiny in there.  I was so hoping she would be a binky baby like Noah was and she started out liking it but then stopped.

I loved the little bow they put in her hair in the hospital, so I left it in for a couple of days.

I would of never picked out this black and red outfit on my own, but it turned out to be one of my favorites while it fit her.  It was a newborn size so she only wore it for a couple of weeks.  I also loved the bow it was another gift from some of our neighbors, she made her a bunch of little bows she has worn a ton.

Her first outing, she was 3 days old.  The boys needed out of the house so Jason took them swimming.  I sat and watched the boys play while Caitlin slept the whole time.

I had to take this picture cause she would do this all the time, have her legs up in the air.
One of those silly things they do when they are so little.

Her headbands are all a little big for her head yet so they would tend to fall down sometimes.  I had to capture it at least once.  It would usually make her really mad to have it over her eyes.

I was a sucker with her and let her sleep with us for almost 3 weeks.  I usually don't like my babies sleeping with me, but this time around I am just trying to soak all of this baby newborn stuff in.  Seeings how this is our last baby.

Noah had a field trip when she was only about a week old, so I left her home with Jason and went with Noah.  The timing worked out perfect I feed her right before we left and I got back right before the next feeding.  We went to the police station in Bountiful.

Daddy and his baby girl, I love watching him with her.  She is going to have him wrapped around her little finger.

It took Ashton a little bit to want to hold her when she came home, now he can't seem to leave her alone.  It is so much watching these boys love on their little sister.

Sleeping baby and husband, he loved having her sleep with us.

Every time I would change her diaper, she wold stretch and her feet would automatically come together.  It made me laugh every time.

Morning cuddle time in Mommy's bed before getting ready for the day.  Mornings were usually a little tough.  It was challenging getting all three kids and myself ready to leave the house for school.

My dad stops by sometimes when he is in the area working.  He usually doesn't hold babies much, but today when he stopped by he quickly grabbed Caitlin and held her for a while before giving her back to me.  I thought it was really cute.

We sat down on the couch for a few minutes and look who fell asleep.

I know they are just gas bubbles but they are still so cute!

My mom came by on a Friday to help with the kids and do whatever.

I let her hold Caitlin as much as she wants, so she can get her fill.  I walked out of the room for a few minutes and came back and they had both fallen asleep.  I swear there is nothing better than a sleeping baby on your shoulder.

Everyday its like dressing a little doll.  I love having a baby girl

I do have two other children, but most of the time they are too busy to let me take pictures of them.  Noah was playing with the laundry basket and sort of held still so I could take a picture of him.

We had dinner one Sunday to celebrate Nicole and Angela's birthdays.  Of course Caitlin was passed around.  Great Grandma Slaughter also got to have some hang time with her.

Ashton loves holding his little sister, plus he is willing to smile at the camera

I have spent a lot of time on this couch in this position.  Some days I know I need to get up and clean my house or make dinner or things like that.  But all I want to do is sit and enjoy this precious little girl.  So that is what I do, this time is going to go by way to fast so I am soaking it all in.

I decided to do some cleaning, so I put her in the baby Bjorn, it worked perfectly, she slept away and I got the kitchen cleaned without having to put her down.  I have had a hard time putting her down, I know this time is going to go way to fast so I am enjoying all of this while she is so little.  So if I hold her most of the day so be it.

Noah use to do this tuck his hands by his side in the car seat.  I loved it then and now

Ashton was the VIP person in his class, so the whole class does a silly cheer and gives him a high five.  We got to come to his class for a little spotlight, and read a story to the class.  All the kids were pretty excited to see a baby, we had to calm them down a few times and not let them to close.

I was given the baby project life for a shower gift, and I was so excited when it showed up.  I can't wait to get started on this for her.

Grandma loves to have her cuddle time with little Caitlin

This was the first outfit I bought for her that I was so completely and totally in love with.  I was so excited when she finally fit in it.  Turns out, it was even cuter on her.  I am definitely going to be putting her in this a ton, and I am going to be so sad when it no longer fits.  This was also our little girls weekend.  Jason had to go to Florida and mom wanted to help out so she took the boys to her house so it was just me and Caitlin.  We went and i got a manicure, we went shopping, and went to dinner with a friend.  And that was only on Friday, Saturday we went to a baby shower for Nicole, then we went shopping again, then home for a movie night.  It was such a fun and quite weekend with just the two of us.  It makes me excited to have girl weekends when she gets older.

I love this face

Finally the weather has been nice enough to go for a walk.  We walked Ashton to school a couple time this week.  I love our stroller, it is fun to use this bassinet while she is so little.

I love these little skinny jeans, they are so adorable on her.

There are just no words for how precious this picture is

Caitlin is getting a little big for the sink, I guess it is time to buy a bath tub for her.

The many faces of little miss Caitlin

This weather has been so nice, we decided to go to the park and have a picnic and let the boys play.  We also took advantage of the sun and let Caitlin get a little sun.  The plus to her getting sun was that her baby acne cleared right up. Turns out we let her get a little too much sun, she had a little sun burn on her head that I didn't notice till later that night when I moved her headband.

Our first game night with the Bellamys since Caitlin was born.  She pretty much slept through most of it.

I love taking pictures of these two sleeping together.

I have no problem with bows that are bigger than her head.

I figured we needed to have more pictures of the two of us.  I am just happy that Jason is willing to indulge me.

I love her double chin, she is so dang cute

The boys got to have a sleepover in our room, this is how I found them when we headed to bed.

Smiles at Daddy, I swear there is nothing better than a baby smiling at you.

Poor little girl, her hair has been rubbed off by all her headbands.  but its not a big deal because she is going to be wearing them anyways.  I'm just glad it is slowing starting to come back in again.

I love having a daughter, I can't believe how lucky I am to have her

I finally had Jason bring up the old swing we got when Ashton was born she loves it.  It is nice to have somewhere else to set her down and she is happy.

Another reason I love having a girl all the fun accessories they get to wear.

Jason and I wanted a few hours away, so I called Uncle Aaron and he came and watched the boys.  The boys had so much fun, they love having time with their uncles.  Caitlin of course had to come with us, but she slept the whole time.  I fed her when we got home which was around 11:30 and she slept till 6:00 that next morning.

Ashton loves his little sister, and I love these two

She is so lucky to have these two big brothers who will be her protectors her whole life.  I love watching them with her and how much they love her.  Every night Caitlin has to lay with each boy and get loves before they go to sleep.

Another toy from when Ashton has been brought out.  So far she seems to like it.  Its fun bringing out these things we have had for so long and getting more use from them.
